After seeing this great Nation to be completely paralyzed for the past eight years during the Bush-it administration I have to agree with Mr. Holder! The issue I am considering is not race but rather human rights: people don't have the guts to oppose abuse of power and violation of the law.
Bush and his gang deceived the American people with lies, started an illegal war, sent over 4,500 of our best troops to their death for absolutely no reason, took away certain human rights, violated international law and agreements (e.g., Geneva Convention), tortured people, denied prisoners the right to be charged and tried, broke our economy, didn't realize a single project benefiting the middle class, protected the wealthy with tax-brakes, violated the Constitution, violated personal privacy with illegal spying, destroyed America's good name in the World, and so on. All this with a straight face, and laughing at us!
Where in the World would so much abuse of power be tolerated by the opposition and by the crowds? Only in a nation of cowards. Mr. Holder is right on the money!
I hope Mr. Holder will show consistency by prosecuting the crimes committed by Bush, Cheney, and the rest of the gang. President Obama is talking about "bringing this Nation back." Great. Hopefully he will support a full prosecution of those crimes. Otherwise, I would say, we will need to rephrase Mr. Holder's statement to, "we have an Administration of cowards."
