It is obvious that senator SPECTER, alike the majority of the American people, could no longer take the ongoing Bush-it and craziness running in the Republican Party. I always respected him a lot - despite he being a Republican - but he was a decent one anyway.
Senator Specter just showed that he is a decent, honest man who has a consciousness. This is what America needs now. We don't need those Republican hypocrites that are still trying to convince us that they really care about "the people" - because now we clearly know that they DO NOT.
I only wonder if there is at least one more of his kind. Anyone else jumping out of the sinking Republican Titanic???
If I saw Rush Limbaugh doing it, I would certainly be very suspicious, thinking it's a plot designed to destabilize the Democrats. But he is not rational enough to get the American people's message - so, this is never going to happen. He will keep talking Bush-it for three hours a day. And, who cares? We have enough people in Washington taking care of our (the middle class') business. Let them bark. Our camels keep walking safely through the night toward our destination.

TORTUREgate vs. WATERgate

The "TortureGate" issue is bigger and much worse than WaterGate. Look at the implications and consequences of each case and see the huge difference between them.
In democratic Countries people who break the law go to jail. Is America still a democratic Country? The Bush gang has to be prosecuted, because they clearly BROKE THE LAW and VIOLATED THE CONSTITUTION. And worse, they just laughed at us while doing it, and they still keep laughing at us because they feel they can't be touched.
It is time for the President to go ahead with his campaign promise and to show that NOBODY is above the law.
The old fox (or, rat?), Cheney, must be dementing, because he really doesn't get it. He appears to be thinking that he still has the VP powers. He will not leave Washington and will not shut up with his nonsense. His latest statements are actually very helpful and welcome, because they are triggering more investigation and more indignation with all the Bush-it crimes committed by the gang.
The gang that destroyed our Country for eight years must be prosecuted. Not for their “opinions and policies” as some like Karl Rove and Sean Hannity are saying, but for their well known CRIMES and VIOLATIONS of the Constitution.
The BUSH-it administration was a devastated tragedy to this magnificent Country. Will those criminals just walk away without paying for their publicly known CRIMES?

WHO "FORMULATED" THE CRIMES?

President Obama said today that those who "formulated" the crimes and the abusive orders given to the TORTURERS could be prosecuted.
Well, I am glad we all (but the Republicans...) know who they are: CHENEY, BUSH, and some more like Karl Rove....
I hope that those in the past who "formulated" our laws will be honored by having the laws applied correctly against those who "formulated" the breaking of those laws.
The Media should be more explicit to the public, telling loudly the whole truth about the eight years of dictatorship we had under Bush/Cheney, exposing all the crimes committed, and demanding justice for the criminals!

Anyone who breaks the Law must be prosecuted, even former Presidents and Vice-Presidents.
The argument that the next President may go after Obama for something he/she doesn't like about the current administration is a very weak point. The issue about Bush/Cheney does not refer to something that we all just "dislike." Those guys BROKE THE LAW, and they MUST be prosecuted and convicted. We all know how guilty they are. Why doesn't the Justice Department just apply the LAW already in place? Are they a bunch of cowards, or what?

Dick Cheney is behaving like the lion that tasted blood once and could not stop looking for more.
For eight years Cheney has done the more anti-American and vicious things imaginable, hurting our Country almost fatally. He and his gang destroyed America so badly that I wonder if we are ever to recover from the destruction.
We finally got rid of him and the whole crew, voting them out from the government. Well,... so I thought! It seems that the lion is back, hunting for more blood. He became used to dictate even what the Bush-it President should do and say, and was able to manipulate so many agencies and businessess related to Iraq. Yes, he was in charge of everything. Amazingly, nobody had the guts to expose and prosecute the breaking of the law and the violation of our Constitution. He felt, and was, powerful.
But those days, Mr. Cheney, are over. I was very disappointed a couple of days ago when Obama seemed trying to avoid prosecution of those crimes, but I feel a little relieved today because it seems that there is still hope that the criminals who broke the Law will pay for their abuse of government power.
But the lion still doesn't get it. Now he is looking for more blood at Fox News, under the umbrella of Sean Hannity. Those guys must be dementing!
